QCoal is a privately-owned Queensland company that is currently developing the Sonoma Coal Mine in the Bowen Basin, Queensland. The Sonoma Coal Mine will initially produce 2 million tonnes per annum (Mtpa) of coking and thermal coal product. The first shipment of coal product is expected to commence in January 2008.
